6DOF Academy — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of 6DOF Academy, a browser-based six-degrees-of-freedom spaceflight trainer owned and operated by Wabbit ("we," "us," "our"). By creating an account or using 6DOF Academy, you agree to these Terms.

Tester wave

6DOF Academy is currently in a limited tester wave. That means:

  • Features, scoring, and scenarios may change or be reset without notice.
  • We don't guarantee uptime, and we may take the service down for maintenance or changes at any time.
  • Signup may require an invite code that we issue and control.

Paid tiers

6DOF Academy offers optional paid tiers, purchased through Stripe Checkout:

  • Recruit (free): all setup-tier drills, plus the first drill of every other tier. No payment required.
  • Pilot ($29.99, one-time): unlocks the full web trainer. This is a one-time purchase — once bought, access is permanent and doesn't expire or need renewal.
  • Founder's Wing ($79.99, one-time): everything in Pilot, plus the desktop trainer once it ships, year-one content seasons, a locked-in price, and a say in the roadmap. Access is permanent. The desktop trainer has not shipped. Founder's Wing is a pre-purchase of that future build, and we don't promise a ship date — we'll tell you plainly if that changes. If we later run a crowdfunding campaign for the desktop build, it will come with its own separate terms.

Some Wave-1 testers receive Founder's Wing at no charge, recorded in our systems as a $0 order carrying the same entitlement as a paid purchase.

Refunds: for either paid tier, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions asked — email hello@wabbit.com. A refund revokes the entitlement it paid for; your account reverts to what it would otherwise be (e.g., a refunded Pilot purchase returns you to Recruit).

Chargebacks: if you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer instead of requesting a refund from us, we may suspend the entitlement tied to that charge while the dispute is resolved, and we reserve the right to suspend the account.

Card details are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never reach our servers. See our Privacy Policy for what we do store about your purchase.

Supporter subscription

This section applies once the Supporter tier is live. It doesn't apply during the current tester wave or before that tier launches — we'll update this page when it does.

Supporter is an optional monthly subscription. It only unlocks forward-looking value: new content seasons, drills, updates, and early builds released while your subscription is active. Letting a Supporter subscription lapse never removes Pilot or Founder's Wing access and never revokes anything you've already purchased or been granted.

You can cancel a Supporter subscription at any time through the billing portal. Access to Supporter-only content continues through the end of the period you already paid for — we don't prorate refunds for the unused portion of a period except where the law requires it.

6DOF Academy doesn't sell battle passes, rank purchases, or loot boxes, in any tier.

Eligibility

6DOF Academy is for adults. You must not use it if you are under 13, and by using it you represent that you meet any minimum age requirement that applies where you live.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us right away at hello@wabbit.com if you think your account has been compromised.

You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up and to keep it reasonably current.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the leaderboard or scoring system in a way designed to misrepresent your actual performance (for example, manipulating inputs, exploiting bugs to inflate scores, or automating play to fake human performance).
  • Attempt to access another pilot's account, data, or non-public parts of the service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, its servers, or its infrastructure.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you've violated these Terms, including leaderboard abuse or attempts to compromise the service. We'll try to tell you why, but during the tester wave we reserve the right to act quickly to protect other pilots and the integrity of the leaderboard.

Your data and content

Your callsign, scores, and public pilot profile may be visible to other signed-in pilots, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We collect gameplay telemetry (flight run traces, control inputs, and performance data) as described in our Privacy Policy. By using 6DOF Academy, you grant us a license to use this gameplay data to operate, maintain, and improve the service, including tuning training scenarios, scoring, and related research into flight-skill modeling. We don't sell this data.

You can turn off telemetry uploads at any time in Settings → Telemetry & Privacy, and you can delete your account and the data tied to it at any time, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

6DOF Academy, including its software, scenarios, design, and content, belongs to Wabbit or its licensors. These Terms don't grant you any ownership in the service. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the service except as the service itself allows through normal use.

No warranty

6DOF Academy is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. During the tester wave especially, we don't promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Use it at your own discretion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wabbit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, 6DOF Academy, including loss of data, scores, or progress. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose (for accounts that have never made a purchase, that amount is zero).

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product develops, especially as we move past the tester wave. We'll update the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, try to give active pilots reasonable notice.

Termination

You can stop using 6DOF Academy and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or if we discontinue the tester wave or the service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Wabbit is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the applicable federal or state courts.
